The government has given the green light for money transfer service to resume its full function; send and receive money.
Last month, PM Gaston Browne, had indicated that the government may soon allow outward flow of funds under new more relaxed guidelines.
Prior to the new guidelines, financial institutions were subjected to offering limited cash service where they are only allowed to receive money.
Now under the new guidelines coming out of Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, these entities may offer full transfer services; that is sending as well as
receiving monies.
“All Money Services Businesses conducting money transfers pursuant to a Class A licence issued by the Financial Services Regulatory Commission,” the government release said.
Meanwhile, coming out of the same cabinet meeting, Real Estate Agents may begin again to show clients around.
However they are being instructed to adhere to the rules of social distancing including wearing masks.
