Antigua Barbuda Labour Party candidate for St. John’s Rural North Charles “Max” Fernandez sent allegations against his opponent to the police commissioner.
In his letter to Wendel Robinson, Fernandez said he was writing in his capacity as a private citizen of Antigua & Barbuda.
The letter contains several allegations against Dr McChesney Emanuel, who is a candidate against Fernandez in the March 21 General Election.
It also includes a signed affidavit from a Chinese businessman in which it is alleged that monies were paid in exchange for a diplomatic appointment.
Dr Emanuel has repeatedly denied the allegations.
In his letter, Fernandez said he believes that a criminal act was committed by his opponent.
“I, therefore, consulted a couple attorneys who confirmed my belief and advised that I ought to bring these matters to your attention for further information and or action,” Fernandez wrote.
He also attached a letter which he said came from former finance minister Harold Lovell and documents purporting to be proof of a money transferred.

Denying an allegation is easy, just say like Shaggy “it wasn’t me”. But when you have evidence proving the claims made then you will have to answer with more than that denial.

These UPP folks are just a bunch of jokers and jokes not even funny. From since 2004 their choirs was lock up lock lock up labour party memebets. When elected they went of a victimizing spree and wasted money on useless probes and investigation and still no results. If the ABLP was serious there would be no UPP party cause they so root deep in them curruptuon the would have to build a new jail just to hold them and all who benefit from the curruption. But the PM Gaston Browne has proven to be a different person though I honselty believe he should have put some of them in 1735
