The Late Bruce Greenaway

A female soldier is among four law officers to be charged with the murder of Bruce Greenaway.

They face being jointly charged with murder today after nearly six weeks of investigation.

Also among the four is a Grenadian police officer in the Royal Antigua & Barbuda Police Force.

Bruce who was buried on Thursday, was found dead at Indian Creek on April 13, days after his family reported him missing. He died of strangulation, an autopsy found.

The three soldiers and one police officer to be charged are the ones who were allegedly last seen with the victim before he died.

Attorney General Steadroy Benjamin says he is aware that there are four persons presently being detained by the police and that charges will be laid by the police.

  1. Let’s complete the puzzle by showing us their faces..The silent killers… they should be there to serve and protect!!! What they have with that, thank god for cámaras that give them way.

    • Is this female soldier cute and is she skinny? If she is skinny, then she is a rare Antiguan woman. If she is pretty then I think the judge should reduce her sentence and let her come back out into society.

Why does Antigua have a military anyways? I am fine with military to make it clear we are an independent nation, but maybe they can cut the military budget by 50% and just have a symbolic military?

      • Where you been? Nothing sweeter than the women in Antigua. Every flavor. Slim, cute, fat, chubby, crawny, thick, black, red, yellow, white. All ah dem. Men from all over the world rush dem.

  2. this is a crime committed by Law endorsement officers, (allegedly), while I understand and I said may , the reasoning behind mentioning the gender , I don’t see why and how anyone can justify the naming of the nationality of one of the alleged law enforcement personnel.
They’re all serving the Government and people of Antigua, no need to single out anyone .

  3. I/we need to know the names of the other 3 criminals includes seeing their faces. What these are that the public can’t see their faces and know their identity? Lord Jesus please heal our nation.

  4. What kind of woman is that? Where she from? IF she found guilty she just might be the first Antigua woman to die on the gallows.

  5. Police does release the names photo of the common man. Whether he/she i guilty or innocent. Why not do the same for these animals..

  6. In 1st world countries, you cannot join their Police Force if you’re not born in that country. Seems to me that any Tom, Dick or Harry can join the Police Force or the Defence Force. Both Forces are full of criminals.

    • 1st world countries have access to a wider employment pool from which they can pull. How many locals (Antiguans) can you think of who aspire to join either organization compared to what the complement should be? We would always be in a deficit. I agree greater scrutiny should be done prior to entry and stiffer penalties when found in breach though.

  7. This is the way that justice is dispensed in Antigua and Barbuda, unfortunately. Far from blind, justice is meted out based on a number of factors to include: ah who you be? ah way you from?, you white or brown or black? you ha’ money? This is one aspect of life in my beloved country of which I’m totally ashamed.

  8. Somebody’s gonna talk, snitch, squeal, to get less time!
    Taking bets, the girl talks!

    Interesting case, serious times!
Antigua, Barbuda & Redonda MUST visit, it CLASSISM SYSTEM. The Nation suffers moreso, from Classism vs Racism.
Now, since their Loveland America is addressing “racism;” (gotta let this shyt run its course though), the Nation should inject, Our form of racism, not necessarily for, the HUE, of the skin, but for the status in society, and this translates, to Classism.

Bruce “r.i.p.” Greenaway vs the Beach Comers!

  9. I can see the that the word Grenadian Police is being stated big so that the world can know where he come from, because we are Revolutionaries, you the media can use this to single us out, I am not in support of the killing of anyone, but just remember that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

  10. Absolutely we need to know the names and identities of all those charged. It’s normal to identify all arrested people as either “male” or “female”. The people have a right to know. No need to cover up anything. This is a new time. Justice must prevail. May the victim rest in peace and rest in power. Congratulations to the authorities for hunting these (alleged) killers down. IF they be guilty as charged, following conviction and a fair trial, they need to be hung by the neck until dead. “An eye for an eye”.

  11. It’s so funny that when this man was alive no one looked out for him when he was a vagrant begging for money or washing down cars in the dockyard parking lot and reciting poems to guests for a little change to buy something to eat where was his family all them times when the man hungry and homeless huh? You guys did this to him not the forces because if he had people looking out for him like how you are looking out for him now he wouldn’t even be arrested in the first place shame on the family who claims to care for Bruce and others like him. He can’t smile now to the fact that his family and so called friends are looking out for him and his interests bunch of hypocritical people!

    • @the Illuminati: I am not a family member of Bruce but many families have a similar issue where a family member may get caught up on drugs or other controlling forces. Many families may not have the resources to deal with the situation and cannot control the affected family member. Help may not even be available from the state.

However this does not give right to those who carried out the offense. It also does not.mean that the.family did not love him and hence would not want anyone to burn him the.way this scene played out.

Moreover this could have been any civilian. Most of us also remember the saying, when your neighbour’s house catches fire, wet yours.

  12. If these persons are found guilty. It will be a disgrace in the country. Antigua needs a lot of prayers.
    This is extremely serious times.

  13. @The Illuminati….some, of your statements, speaks to the wider issue, of Classism vs Racism.
Our Nation suffers from Classism, and many are hypocritical in not addressing, the issue, and it’s far reaching consequences in Our Society!

    RASpect….

  14. @ras smood racism/classism is world history and helps the world to breathe why keep equaling yourselves to other races they don’t like you and want to kill your race from the beginning of time and here you are talking about it my friend every other nation comes to these poor Caribbean countries and make billions off of is but you’ll never find a black owned store in China or in any Arab country and being supported by their nationals so therefore wake up blind people stop making other races taking our men and women!
