EMOTIONAL SCENE: Family Comes Forward to Identify Woman Who Fell from Truck and Lost Her Life

A heart-wrenching scene unfolded at Fort James on Monday as family members arrived to identify a woman who died after falling from a moving truck during the Labour Day parade.

Among those present was her son, visibly shaken and surrounded by grieving relatives. The woman is believed to have fallen while dancing on the truck as it made its way to the popular beach.

Police are continuing their investigation and are urging eyewitnesses to assist.

  1. There comes a time when the organizers of such events should be held personally liable for incidents of this nature! Only then will we understand that security of patrons is a built-in responsibility+
So the organizers will appear mortified and offer condolences, the callous Opposition will jeer and celebrate and the dead will be left to pick up their dead. So tragic, so sad!

  2. Clearly strict guidelines are needed for these events. The police should have the authority to stop bands that do not adhere to specific codes and protocols. When there is a free for all, people would do as they are pleased especially when they are under the influence of alcohol. We have to ensure that going forward better is done on order to protect life. . My heartfelt condolences to all

  3. To the ridiculous, contemptuous Unfaithful National #0: evil thinks what evil does. Sounds like you missed the opportunity to ‘jeer and celebrate’ , so you you are
now backtracking. I really understand just why your Puppeteer has ignored persons like you, and infiltrate the UPP to select even traitors.

  4. Why are you guys making this a political thing? It’s a life. Leave politics out of it. Lets focus on consoling her family members at this time her son lawd council him.

  5. How bout not letting persons on top of the trucks unless they are sound production or the entertainers💁🏽‍♀️

  6. This was a woman in her 40s she should have known better than to be climbing onto a moving truck. Condolences to the family but how can you hold the organizers accountable for GROWN WOMANs ill-fated CHOICE?

  7. Why would the opposition jeer? Silly statement. They will ask for accountability which all of us should expect. If you singers were doing that, thing like this, and other things, would not happen. Condolences to the family.

  8. She left her home and would not return. I do not believe that was her plan. May her soul, RIP.

  9. The ABS news said the person was trying to climb unto the truck- I fail to understand how the organizers played a part in that. This has happened before during Carnival celebrations. What harm to personal responsibility..

  10. I don’t think anyone is so stupid to celebrate the lost of a life , so keep the opposition out of this. This is not a political issue but a humanitarian issue. Cannot imagine the agony her son that was on the scene is going through.
It’s full time that certain standards must be set for activities like these. A truck should not be allowed to play with people dancing around it without being properly skirted. If people are on top there should be something like ropes as a protective barrier. It’s full time, these things should be compulsory. This has happened too many times before , to be still happening again. So make this be a law named in her honor.

  11. ABLP need to take more precautions at their motorcade the last election someone fell off of truck luckily she lived last Christmas someone fell off of the Christmas truck and now this event yesterday someone fell the last 2 incident cost 2 life which is too much for a small island like ours

  12. @Faithful National #1
A yu Prime Minister signature event.

Based on your logic Gaston Browne as leader of ALBP should be held personally liable for incidents of this nature!
