In response to the situation, immediate measures will be enforced, including the deployment of additional security personnel and enhanced surveillance of the school’s rear areas. The school will also begin utilizing metal detectors, which were already in their possession, to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
“We will not tolerate this kind of behavior. Up with this, we will not put!” Browne declared emphatically, stressing the ministry’s firm stance on maintaining discipline and order within the school.
Despite the unsettling event, regular operations at Clare Hall Secondary School will resume as scheduled. Both the ministry and faculty will work together to restore a sense of normalcy and security to the institution, ensuring that it remains a safe place for learning and teaching.

Parents need to pay closer attention to what their kids are doingg
Why the hell is a gun needed at school?
Where did that child get a gun ? That is ridiculous. What was he going to do with the gun ? Yes i agree with the metal detectors and the extra security
There should of added more security and metal detectors long time
I believe tighter security should be placed at all schools.
I don’t know what Antigua is coming into. That’s crazy!
I’m still not understanding how the same MOE could have stated that schools are safe and now they are here playing fix it.
What measures were put in place to avoid these incidents? You said you spoke to “stakeholders ” and that everything was good. Most security at school are females. Will they be able to difuse and potential threat?
How this kid got a gun is another story.
Can teachers and students really say they feel say?
What happens when they leave the schools compounds? You’ll got a lot of [surveilling] and watching, to do when it comes to these children and adults of today.
Unless, this youth knows gun dealers personally(and these would more than likely be adults too), he got access to the gun, somehow.
Whether or not, the parent, adult knew of him taking the gun, ir not; they should be charged as well, as the youth.
The Ruling Arm, of the Government, the Cabinet was quick to amend these gun laws, let’s hope, that someplace in the new legislation, adults and parents MUST be charged , appropriately when WEAPONS(not just guns) under their supervision is used to commit any crime. Even, the cell phone to computer to #CHAP_LISS🔪🗡️.
So, parents and guardians you’d better keep a tight rein on your responsibility until they become legally responsible for themselves.
By the way, is the proposal by Samantha Marshal to have the age of consent raised, to meet those other [legal] ages gaining any traction with her #GOOD_OLE_BOYS ORDER?
