  1. Since when Montserrat got bigger than A&B? In his very clip he highlighted
Montserrat as successfully doing it. His issue he claims is that connected Antiguan business men like him will benefit too much from it and the risk is too great of greed causing them to make a mistake. Using the same logic lets stop fishing our seas because our fishermen may get greedy and over fish. Properly enforced regulations are the key.

Mi Gud Fren! Stop and examine the alternatives by the gentleman! In many of the World’s large urban centres with continuous construction projects aggregates and fines including sand are mined/quarried hundreds of miles away and transported by rails, barges and ships to the Cities as construction materials!

Is it in Antigua and Barbuda’s best environmental and sustainability interest to continue to mine sea sand from its coastal or offshore sand banks?

Given your capacity, why not investigate the man’s claim that it was more economical to bring river sand from Montserrat and Guyana?

Do you know if it would be more economical and environmentally more sustainable to quarry and transport aggregates from Montserrat rather than the continued destruction of Green Castle and its effects on the health of the surrounding communities?

Have you considered getting natural sand from Barbados given it’s low saline qualities? You are well aware of the slow and unrelenting scaling of rebar by sea sand in concrete!

“Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It would create a feeling that is extremely uncomfortable, called cognitive dissonance. And because it is so important to protect the core belief, they will rationalize, ignore and even deny anything that doesn’t fit in with the core belief.” Dr. Frantz Fanon!

  2. Dear MR. Fuller

Thanks for trying but your common sense rationale will fall on deaf ears. As you rightfully said, they want to start a sand mining business so them and their friends and children can profit.

  3. Honestly, the PM should not be feuding with multiple people in the country. He should be strictly focused on making the nation a better place for its people. Stop the personal nonsense. Every criticism does not need to be responded to.
