Gun crime showed its ugly head in Antigua and Barbuda again.
Police are now searching for the assailant who robbed a 74-year-old man at gunpoint at 8pm on Tuesday.
The elderly man had just arrived home and exited his vehicle along Anchorage Road when he was pounced upon by the armed assailant.
The 74 year old tried to run but fell.
The gunman robbed him of his wallet containing XCD$3,000.00 and a Samsung cellular phone valued at XCD$700.00.

Police needs to patrol that area every two hours.I work at Sandals.I parked my vehicle on the side of Sandals because the parking lot wss full with nowhere to park.When i finished work and was heading to my vehicle I knew I saw a guy dressed in all black approaching my car.I was scared that I waited till persons meet up with me to get to my car.
A frequent patrol is needed on Anchorage road.There is not much light on that long stretch.
