Elderly Man Drowns In Barbuda

Daryl Bell, a 71-year-old visitor to Barbuda has died by apparent drowning.

It is reported that Bell experienced difficulty with his snorkeling gear.

While attempting to swim back to his dinghy he experienced difficulty and lost consciousness.

He was given CPR once on land but died after efforts to resuscitate him failed.

The man was visiting Barbuda on the family yacht with his son.

  1. I wonder if he was using one of the new types of snorkeling mask which covers the entire face? Reports show that many have experienced great difficulty breathing and some have died using them. Can someone find out?
