Education Session on vaccines for GG and staff

Dr. Belle Jarvis, Head of the MSJMC Paediatric Department and Member of the National Technical Working Group, facilitated an educational session at The Government House on Tuesday.

This education session on the topic of vaccinations, catered to the Governor General, Dr. Sir Rodney Williams and his staff.

The lecture took on a blended format to facilitate a socially distanced limited audience in person while other attendees joined the session via zoom.

This session addressed vaccination programs locally and globally, the new COVID-19 vaccine and its varied types.

Also discussed were the types approved for use in Antigua and also the issue of efficacy rates for the various types of vaccine.

Dr. Belle Jarvis was able to address and also debunk some of the vaccination myths.

  1. As the world tries to get itself away from the wrath of the virus a budding politician/radio host had a Ducta on air yesterday advocating that all this covid and pandemic is fake. According to the Ducta there is no pandemic, all these deaths are normal and more pointedly the Ducta said we should not take the vaccine. The budding politician had nothing to say in return but simply allow the Ducta to spew his misinformation. How can anyone take this budding politician seriously when the health of the people he is trying to represent is at risk? Someone really needs to call 911 as the saying goes.
