Officials within the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries are encouraging parents/guardian to inoculate their children with the COVID-19 vaccine approved for them.

The Pfizer BioNTech vaccine was placed into circulation in Antigua and Barbuda on Tuesday and people 12 years and older are eligible for the shot, barring health complications, for which a doctor should be consulted.

Health officials indicate the vaccine will add an extra layer of protection for children as they prepare to begin the new academic year on 13th September, 2021.

Interested parents and guardians can pre-register for the vaccine by calling the following numbers:

788-8299, 780-8461, 736-8299

The Pfizer vaccine is available at the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment’s vaccination site at the Multi-Purpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre, Perry Bay.

  1. Foh let me see if y’all going to say unvaccinated kids can’t attend school… And September 13th? and cases are rising higher and higher? you’re the worst person to be placed as education minister…

  2. Are these education officials paying attention to what’s going on with the Pfizer jab? They are now discussing in the USA boosters every 5months for Pfizer… It is practically useless in regards to the Delta. Look at was happening in Israel…

  3. They have already thought it and said it. What their thoughts are in Physical so shall it be in the spiritual realm. Woe Woe unto them and unto the parents who seems to think that their children will be covered and not for once think that the Most High Yah can protect us from anything.
