
A small earthquake was recorded northeast of Antigua on Tuesday morning, according to the UWI Seismic Research Centre.
The automatic report indicates the tremor occurred at 11:36 am local time with a magnitude of 3.6. The quake was located at a depth of 10 kilometres, with coordinates placing it in the Leeward Islands region.
The nearest major location was Saint John’s, approximately 138 kilometres northwest of the epicentre. Other nearby areas included Basseterre, about 103 kilometres to the north-northeast, and Brades, roughly 158 kilometres north-northwest.

There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Seismic Research Centre noted that the location is preliminary and may be revised following further analysis.
