When working in daycare centers or preschools where meals are prepared on-site, food safety is essential in preventing foodborne illnesses and ensuring the well-being of young children. This training provided participants with critical knowledge on:
Keeping clean – Maintaining hygiene in food handling
Separating raw and cooked foods – Preventing cross-contamination
Maintaining safe food temperatures – Keep hot food hot and cold food cold
Cooking thoroughly – Ensuring food is properly heated
Using safe water and raw materials – Reducing contamination risks
Beyond food safety, the session also emphasized:
Hand hygiene best practices – Proper handwashing techniques
Cleaning, disinfection & general sanitation – Keeping spaces germ-free
Cough & sneeze etiquette – Reducing the spread of germs by practicing proper cough etiquette
