Drue Wins First Road March

St. Johns, Antigua, August 9th, 2023 Antigua and Barbuda’s 2023 carnival was one for the history books, in an unprecedented feat Ricardo Drue secured the highly sought after Road March title with his mega hit song Last One Standing. The singer secured the win in a three-way tie with soca diva Claudette ‘CP’ Peters, and newcomer ‘Empress’ Hope Serrant.

Heading into the 2023 carnival season the singer remarked that he had full intentions of maintaining a strong presence, dominating the stage and the airways. According to Drue “my goal was to try and obtain a road march (title) this year, I put myself in a space to aim towards it, which is why most of my songs are in the more up-tempo bpm.”

Adding the 2023 road march title to his long list of accomplishments, Drue is still processing the reality of his win, sharing that overall, he feels happy and grateful and ready to take on the next challenge.

The artiste shared that post carnival 2023, he and the Drue World Order (DWO) will continue to focus on dominating musical spaces locally and internationally. Drue says, “it’s a lot easier said than done, but I think myself and everybody else on the team is up to the challenge.”
