The Drowning Victim is identified as 55-year-old Frederick Dick of Freemans Village.
It was reported that he went spear fishing with another friend.
It was further reported that somewhere in the process he disappeared and was later found floating on the surface of the water.
He was transported to shore and was pronounced dead around 2:40 pm by a medical doctor. The police are continuing investigations into the matter.

You’re absolutely correct, I feel the same way but this is an occurrence that keeps happening because they do not take precautions and use safety guidelines as they ought to. I know that for a fact, at one point I worked in the vicinity of an area they used to go out and it bothers me personally the little regard to show for safety it was so unbelievable to me. More or some training of safety and or equipment is mandatory because you would be surprised but they are 20 to 30 feet under for long periods of time in that environment with no equipment whatsoever. This is a passion for these people and their daily bread and some small businesses relies heavily on them. So sad for the family, really hurts. May his soul rest in perpetual peace.
