WHEN WILL THESE DRIVERS IN ANTIGUA WILL LEARN TO SLOW DOWN AND DRIVE CAREFULLY. LET THIS BE OUR MANTRA FOR 2020 AND BEYOND.
I wouldn’t fix any of the roads in Antigua, I would leave friar’s hill rd as it is because when completed God forbid these niggas are going to be speeding even more, hope they erect speedbumps on these new roads
Really? Now we are so Americanized that we are calling ourselves the N word? Antiguans need to respect themselves and stop being copy cats.
DRIVING TO DIE – FIGHTING TO LIVE
RM, not sure how that can be rationalized.
Except for a ‘…funeral or a stay at the hospital,’ it doesn’t even make ‘…Monkey Sense’ ‘…Driving To Die.’ and now ‘…Fighting to Live.’
Do not know the manner or how they may have been driving, but do know that ‘…So a man drives, So he dies.’
It is real sad bcuz most times when these accidents happen from reckless driving, the innocent driver& passengers become the victim……. The govt need to continue the good job that they are doing with the installation of the traffic bumps….
Agreed… Get some more speed bumps down! These are now life saving measures due to certain idiots.
Drivers need to slow down and drive with sense
Ban automobiles. Go back to horse and cart and donkeys.😁
Guarantee they would gallop like mindless assholes on those horses and donkeys.
Wanna speed take it to the tracks 3 have 3 one must suit your liking
Drivers need to be fined and or confined, if they don’t feel the consequences of their actions, then they will never stop. Speed bumps help but punish the innocent, even if you have a speed bump 10 feet apart, the idiotic reckless drivers accelerate between them at high speeds.
“According to reports, he lost control of the vehicle”, no he did not lose control, he was speeding recklessly, and from other reports driving on the wrong side of the road around that corner as they always do, every day. Additionally, the other innocent occupant of the other car is also suffering, physically, and mentally. Why are we always pretending, call them out, those who speed, and wantonly drive through STOP signs and red lights, the Police could pay for all their salaries if they got serious.
Agree a million percentage
Whatever became of the traffic Cameras?
Government needs to look into whether we as a nation and citizenry do need these “fast and furious” vehicles on our roads within this small “tourism” product nation.
Our maximum speed limit is 40mph but this is not a reality anymore due to the build-up of these 40mph main roads with residences, businesses, schools and churches, hence the speed limit that one should be doing now in these main roads is reduced to about 20mph. So why do we need vehicles that are maxing out at 180mph. This does not make any sense.
Secondly, we claim to sell a “tourism” product to the fast lives in US, Canada, Australia, England etc. to come here and take it down a notch to slow down and enjoy yourselves in relaxing slow laid back environment of beaches, hikings, walking, nature etc. So again, why have a tourism product such as that and still trying to kill yourself and visitors with fast and furious life styles. something here just does not make logics and sense.
We a are small country, we don’t need these excessive speeding vehicles and people. They are not Ambulance EMTs or Firemen. Stop bringing in these fast and furious vehicles that kills us and damage our hopeless infrastructures.
In that case, you might as well go with ssndra ‘s idea. She said..Ban automobiles. Go back to horse and cart and donkeys.
At the end of the day, there is no such thing as a non fast car!even a simple car can be used for speed. The problem however is not the car..its the person driving it
How about the police actually enforce the speed limits and issue fines . Then confiscate cars of the repeat offenders.
I agree here. They are finding you 500 on the spot for cell phone use. What are they charging speeders and j walkers on the spot?
Where are the traffic police on on the highways? Especially at nights to catch the law breakers?
Don’t even talk about the LITTERBUGS that throw gum, sweetie wrappers or food out their car windows
Why
Why are these Chinese vehicles like aluminum cans at low impact speed ? What grade of steel are these cars made with? How much protection do they offer in a crash?
The Japanese cars involved in this accident are mede from high quality materials and provide a great deal of protection for the occupants.
That’s assuming that the occupants spend 2 seconds of their time and put the seatbelt on, which unfortunately so few Antigans do. Without a seatbelt even a minor collision is likely to result in a head injury. In a serious accident like this, head injury to unbelted occupant is almost guaranteed.
This is Antigua. In Antigua the education is worst than any third country.
WORSE not worst. You proved your statement to be true. However, speak for yourself.
