Joseph Gregoire, released from hospital

Lawmen confirmed today that Joseph Gregoire, the driver of the vehicle which crashed on Factory Road on April 30th, has been charged.

The charge is reckless driving and Gregoire’s license has also been suspended pending the outcome of the case.

He made his first court appearance yesterday but did not enter a plea. He is on bail and will appear in court again on July 20th, 2017.

The police told Antigua News Room that Gregoire was arrested and charged shortly after being released from hospital.

Gregoire sustained several injuries in the crash on labour day weekend but it was his passenger and friend Anthony Barrett who was badly injured.

Barrett is in a stable condition at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital and was able to speak to lawmen.

He is being treated for multiple serious injuries resulting from the crash which occurred outside Gigi Industries.
