EARLIER REPORT:

Dominica News Online: Keyan Alexander, the man who abducted 12-year-old Kernisha Etienne from her home in Warner on the 7th of June, 2022, has been captured by the police.

Several police sources have confirmed to Dominica News Online (DNO) that the fugitive, who has been on the run for the past eleven days, is now in police custody.

However, the police have not reported finding the child.

Alexander, a resident of Belles, who, it is said, is mentally ill, took Etienne from her home at about 11:30 p.m. on June 7. The police reported that in committing the offence, Alexander went to the home of his uncle, Laurent Joseph Bruno, and attacked him with a cutlass inflicting serious wounds to his head and face, before leaving with the 12-year-old..

DNO is following the story and will bring you more information as it becomes available.

    • @Magic: How come you don’t ask that question when stories from the US and Canada are posted as part of the headline stories?

To answer your question more directly: Perhaps because it’s about a missing CHILD and that human interest story concerns all of us, regardless of where it takes place. Besides, there are MANY Dominicans living in Antigua and just perhaps (said sarcastically) they may be interested in such a story.

On a final note, you should probably change your moniker from “MAGIC” because there is surely nothing magical about your level of thinking.

    • U just said that shame on u if u don’t have nothing good to say don’t say nothing at all be ur brothers and sisters keeper

    • … because roughly 40% of Antiguans are of Dominican descent. Big news from down dey ah Big News yah..

    • Make the connection our children are under attack all over the region.

The question should be why all the islands are experiencing this type of crime at tge same time?

What is driving this attack on the youth?

Ate we being controlled externally through these cell towers?

People something is not right the entire region is experiencing this type of crime. THANKS ANR FOR HIGHLIGHTING THESE STORIES LETS HOPE SOME JOURNALISTS CAN MAKE THE CONNECTION SO WE CAN START TO UNPACK IT. ONE Caribbean…

  1. Why the hell did they shoot him, not knowing where the poor child is? Don’t make sense, how will they know where the child is?

  2. I am still at a lost as to why this man was killed & who killed him. Was it the police? If so were the lives of the officers in danger? Was it necessary to kill him because (1) he was mentally ill and (2) the young lady has not been found,. The young man may have had the answer. There are too many cases where the police are allegedly accused of killing their suspects unnecessarily.

  3. I really hope they find the young child.smh. anyway on another note#Ras. It make me cringe when I hear/read an Antigan a claim Redondo as belonging to Antigua, a mean it ain’t much to claim, but it still make me cringe. I’m also happy that my little island next door stay out of Antigan month for the most part, except for when we have to past through to get home. Don’t kill the messenger.lol.
