DOE receives more than 50 loan applications for US$900K funding for Path to 2020 Project

The Department of Environment (DOE) recently had it’s first review of loan and grant funding applications for it’s Path to 2020 Project.

The DOE received over 50 applications for approximately US $900,000 in funding to be distributed in loans and grants for this project.

This Path to 2020 Project, which is being funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the DOE, aims to achieve objective 1 of Antigua and Barbuda’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (2014 – 2025) to create a national system, including protected areas, for the management and conservation of biodiversity conservation is developed and established.
