I have been following this saga about choksi ,and there is a lot of hate in these post against a human that you all don’t even know. Bitterness and hate against somebody that did nothing to you all. Mehul Chinubhai Choksi is an Indian from Gujarat. At one time his retail jewellery company had 4,000 stores in India, selling fake diamonds! That kind of clout helped him pocket powerful and highly corrupt cabinet ministers like Chidambaram and literally loot a staggering $1.8 billion (loans with no collaterals!) from one of the Govt-owned banks, that primarily caters to the poor and middle class.
His entire family are scamsters, with his nephew Nirav Modi already in a London jail fighting a extradition case. In fact, his brother Chetan ought to be arrested in Dominica (where he is busy bribing all those who matter) since he too scammed ICCI Bank-London of $55 million! Most of these criminal billionaire scamsters are on Interpol’s Red Alert yet have managed to fly-out with entire family and settled down in London or Antwerp, including the likes of Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi..etc
From cheating to corruption, money-laundering, fraud, embezzlement…etc, these new-age, extraordinary criminals (who have the high and mighty on their payroll’s) have taken full advantage of the political system in India, where in politicians/ministers are competing to get their goodwill/fortune and is aided by a corrupt judiciary is of the British era. Like Lennox Linton or Harold Lovell, in India too this genius of a criminal has many political friends with absolutely no shame.
