DNA President Concession Speech

10

On behalf of the Candidates and members of the Democratic National Alliance (DNA), I express heartfelt thanks to you, our people, for your faithful support, encouragement, prayers and love.

The end of a rigorous and tough campaign has come and the people of Antigua and Barbuda have spoken.

Today, I called Prime Minister Gaston Browne to extend my congratulations to him and his party as they begin the journey to take our country forward.

The DNA continues to share our vision of real change, Transformational Leadership and Prosperity for All.

I urge all of you not to lose faith as we rally to deliver a new kind of politics and a different style of leadership in Antigua and Barbuda.

Be encouraged and assured that my party and I will never back down from holding the ABLP government accountable to you.

We will continue to agitate, advocate and collaborate to deliver on our policies to reduce the cost of living, to deliver a sustainable supply of potable water daily to homes and businesses, to increase the minimum wage to no less than $10.25/hour, to pay pensioners on time and to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and equally in our beloved country.

We express appreciation to ALL of you who voted for us and we ask for your continued support.

I am humbled to lead a dynamic team of patriotic, selfless and unblemished women and men whose commitment to our country and our people cannot be gainsaid!

I commend their strength, determination and resolve which never wavered during this tough and challenging campaign.

They will always enjoy my respect, love and admiration for their commitment to and faith in God, our country and the DNA.

We will continue to grow as a party and as Leaders … we remain resolute in our responsibility, commitment and fight to deliver our Vision 2040!

Congratulations again to the ABLP and to the winning candidates of the UPP. May God continue to bless Antigua & Barbuda and our people.

  1. Joanne, having lost your deposit and that of your Candidates. Our Treasury is better off financially because of your DNA. Joanne, the people rejected you and your Candidates along with your Party,DNA. In my opinion, that same would happen next election.Know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away, know when to run.Now is that time, run like HELL.

  2. Thank you for a conciliatory and unifying concession speech.
Let’s hope the elected opposition members can unify and focus on the good of the country not personal bear-baiting.

  3. A rather nice conciliatory speech given the trashing the party got. I think DNA is destroying itself at the alter. They were clearly not ready for elective politics.

  4. Chups, chups chups!!! What a disappointment you are. You made a mockery out of the DNA. You all could have stood for something. Instead you all were the laughingstock of Antigua.

    • @ DNA
🫠😬, laughing stock , lol, lol, lol, lol,

My friend Joanne you are simply wasting your time and that of the other members of the DNA.

Just sid dung and shut TO HELL UP.

  5. Keep on smiling, Joanne.
A win for labor is a win for you.
Gassy may just touch you off. 💰
You are so happy that Harold and the UPP didn’t win.

  6. @ Joanne, u need to do the right thing and step down as the leader as u are hurting your own party! A just come candidate doubled the votes u got speaks volumes of your poor candidency. Step down now if u want DNA to have any chance in the next century.

  7. Drunk & Disorderly is a poor excuse for leadership! Your behaviour expresses the bad mindedness and lub-ugly which is causing you to lose respectful and respectable candidates. Plus being paid to split the vote has done you irreparable character damage. You would be a lateral change on the same level as GB, a female version of odious leadership!

  8. Why this woman still pushing? The party was most dismal at the last three elections. The leader, herself, the last I checked, didn’t even get 100 votes. Stop wasting time.

I honestly can’t support you as the leader, especially since the party was born out of bad mind. You are more interested in your political gain, than the true interest of the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda
