Resignations of Louis Rivera and Gameal Joyce

The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) advises that colleagues Louis Rivera and Gameal Joyce, the DNA’s former candidates in the St. John’s Rural North and St. Paul constituencies, have tendered their resignations from the Party following separate discussions held with the Political Leader.

Massiah stated, “our respective discussions were frank, amicable and respectful as always. Their contributions to the DNA are memorable and I have always welcomed and respected their independence and tenacity. Politics is fluid and dynamic and the very essence of democracy will always present opportunities for shifts, realignment and change.”

The DNA will continue to grow and evolve as a political movement and will continue to champion the principles of Transformational Leadership, Good Governance, Accountability and Transparency in public life. We remain committed to our motto, “Prosperity for All”, and our unshakeable belief that a better Antigua and Barbuda is possible!

We wish our former colleagues well in their future endeavours.

  2. DNA sheds members faster than snakes sheds their skin. By any account, this doesn’t look good and makes the party looks less than credible and sincere. By the look of things, all but it’s leader might be gone by the end of the year.

  5. The leader of the DNA response to the resignation of the two members of her political movement is very classy and bodes well for democracy in our country. It’s also bodies well for her as a leader in Antigua and Barbuda. Enough respect!!!

  7. Pringle like a school boy looking for brownie points echoed yesterday that Virgin Atlantic is cutting back in his attempt to score points. In case Pringle does not realise we are approaching the slow season and it is expected that airlines will cut back flights. Can some one of you #UPPNEARGA who read my post let Pringle know that.

  8. WHARF RAT, my good old blogging comrade, this is not about you, but the younger poliTRICKTans now vying to control the #Public_Purse, of Antigua, Barbuda & REDONDA are like #WHARF_RATS in St. John’s Harbour jumping from cargo ship to cargo ship looking for food.
    They’re not about serving the best interests, of the PEOPLE.

    However, with that said, it’s obvious that DNA and Joanne Massiah have some serious internal conflicts and issues.
    One solution is for Massiah to resign as leader of the DNA and opt for a Executive to run the Party until such time when they can iron out the negative issues plaguing them.

      • The reason the UPP could not disband and support the DNA. In the Elections of January 18,2023. How many votes did the DNA get as a Political Party? Every UPP Candidates individually,got more Votes than the entire DNA Party combined. Is DNA really a Political Party or an arm of the ABLP? Joanne,come clean.
