DJ Nez Charged With Attempted Murder, Remanded To Prison

Arnold β€œDJ Nez” Graham was charged with attempted murder for trying to run over a woman with a vehicle.

Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel remanded the accused when he made his first appearance in All Saints Magistrates Court this morning.

Magistrates do not have the jurisdiction to grant bail for certain serious offences including attempted murder.

He is due back in court in September.

  1. I must admit that this story came as a real shock to me. I know DJ Nez and he is undoubtedly one of the kindest and nicest person that I have come to know. If true, this is not the normal Nez that I have known and it must have been very unusual circumstances that led to this. Nonetheless, it is a very serious charge and I offer my prayers and full support to you my dear friend.

    • You do not “know” Nez. The Most High alone knows the human heart and He describes it as “desperately wicked” plain and simple. I hope for his sake that he is innocent, but a recording being circulated on social media paints a different picture of the man you claim to “know” as kind and nice.

      • Graphics, the best of us make mistakes and it in no way means we are not nice. I am not casting guilt or otherwise on Nez. I do not know the facts. I know him to be a nice and caring person…that is all I said! In all of my association with him, I have never seen a violent side and most persons who knows Nez would attest to this.

        • And I should add by no means am I saying he is guilty, I am saying based on my observations of him, I wouldnt put it past him. The other thing to consider is the fact that he probably had no reason to show you his violent side but like all of us he has a violent side and he seems to show it more at events. Idk if some of u might say its alcohol or his friends influencing him but he has a warish side.

The point I was trying to make is that none of us can truly know another 100% Even the very people we live with don’t know our deepest thoughts. I can only surmise that you do not live with him because as the saying goes “see me and live with me a two different things”

        I don’t even “swear” for myself much less people.

        The way character is sometimes ‘…Graphically portrayed,’ it often paints a ‘…black picture’ and likened to wild fire, ‘…Social Media’ circulates it.

        Then perceptions are warped by its corruptible influence on the mind, as it makes it rounds.

        In the instant case, until the facts are known, ‘…Judge Not’ by these destructive influences.

    • After you argued with me on the Cannabis Column I thought you we just misinformed but now I see you are just gullible. You know how much time Nez and he thugz want to start fights at parties and outings? As a matter of fact, I went to grammar school when he had a short stint as the music teacher…. ignorant and stupid like a pitbull. So news like this doesn’t shock me, wonder how he manage to avoid getting into trouble so long. Nez probably put on his soft voice and used the words “thank you” and you believe he is nice.

My Cannabis columns …….I am glad you liked them and I am sure you learned a lot from them. You obviously have a personal vendetta against Nez and it’s your right. I have no such against anyone.

        • I don’t. I made 2 post and the administrator only approved one. I am very observant, especially, when I am under influence of cannabis. I like to watch how ppl interact because I am very interested in human behavior and sociology, I actually minored in it in university. So like I said in my other post it could be the alcohol at events or he is being influenced by ppl around him, I have seen him get really aggressive at outings. You might not see it because I am sure when you interacted with he had no reason to be upset. And I also mentioned I am not saying he is guilty but I wouldnt put it pass him because I have seen his war-ish side. But also you are quick to assume because I simply stated my observations of him before, how did that translate to me having a personal vandetta against him? I have never spoken a word to him, I have just observed his interactions with other people at different times. I took a little jab at you in my first comment strictly out of fun but I have nothing against Nez, as a matter of fact I also believe some woman are malicious so more than likely the woman in this story isn’t innocent.     This is a charge that may not see the ‘…Light of Day.’

    From these two perspectives,

    (i) ‘…Professional; and

    (ii) …Evidential.’

    Investigators know that an incident that involves two lovers only, one would,

    (a) ‘…Make an allegation; and

    (b) …The other would deny.’

    In the instant case, where it is alleged that the driver (boyfriend), attempted to run over the victim (girlfriend), in the absence of eye-witnesses, the circumstantial evidence shall be overwhelming.

    Example, in attempting to avoid the vehicle, victim fell and sustained some form of injuries.

    Stronger still, if victim was struck by the vehicle, no matter how minor, there would also be some form of injuries.

    These would have been visible to the investigator and an attending medical practitioner. These, undoubtedly, should show a ‘…preponderance of evidence and a clear intent to cause harm or kill.’

    If the victim escaped from being hit and sustained ‘…no falling injuries,’ the simple minor or summary charge would be ‘…Assault.’

    Going on the victim’s word, as against the accused, without a ‘…scintilla of evidence,’ often results in travesty- ‘…False Arrest or Malicious Prosecution.’

    Really do not know what available evidence there is.

    Do know that without ‘more,’ this ‘…Attempted Murder Charge,’ will be ‘…gashed, either in the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) or at ‘…Committal Proceedings at the Magistrate’s Court.’

  9. I have known Arnold since we were kids. I do not know what transpired here so I cannot judge that. But what I can say is, he was raised in church and I am not sure why he made the devil take over his soul.. I have seen first hand the anger that runs deep in his soul. I have seen the abuse and I know exactly what he is capable of. He can be very loving but he is on the other hand, very demonic.
    I am not saying that he committed this crime but I am saying that he is capable of it.

    • Apparently he was born, bred, and raised in the Salvation Army with his father who is a preacher. Maybe it’s time for the Prodigal Son to return home. God has a way of using circumstances to reach our hearts. It is quite likely that his parents and others have been praying for him all these years and this situation will cause him to reflect on his spiritual upbringing. This is not the end, it’s chapter II.

  12. I pray his time on remanded that he would reflex on the decision he made that put him in that place. Why there he can find the Biblical principle he was brought on, repent and turn back to God. The churches need good musician.
