Registration is Open for Discover Yachting & Marine 2025 – October 8 – 9
Dear Members,
Hopefully you’ve all seen the press release launching this year’s 4th annual industry showcase Discover Yachting & Marine – Antigua & Barbuda (DYMAB).
The event is scheduled to be held at Antigua Yacht Club Marina & Antigua Yacht Club Lawn on October 8th and 9th, 2025, commencing at 9:00 AM. With the mixed space of the platform and the lawn plus the connecting board walks and the docks we aim to present our industry in a fun, interactive and enticing way.
We extend to you, esteemed members of the ABYMA, the exclusive opportunity to exhibit at this event and showcase the range of careers your business offers. You can let us know what you need for your setup as well as indicating what kind of display/exhibit you’ll be bringing. To cover some of the costs of the event, the exhibitors fee is $250Ec, and please drop a cheque to the ABYMA Office at the National Sailing Academy as soon as you’ve registered.
As a gentle reminder, the primary objective of the event is to introduce the citizens of Antigua and Barbuda to the diverse pathways and career possibilities that the yachting industry offers; opening up access to potential new hires and sourcing new talented staff for the businesses involved. DYMAB also offers exhibitors the much needed opportunity to network with member businesses.
The organizing committee is actively reaching out to educational institutions, and running nationwide media campaigns to engage individuals with relevant transferable skills, inspiring them to come to the event and consider how their expertise can lead to rewarding careers in the yachting and marine sectors.
We’d also like to invite members who are interested in offering short industry focussed presentations to the audience throughout the day (Hannah at Anchor Concierge gave a very successful seminar last year).. We’d also like to invite businesses to consider how they can make stands as interactive as possible. (Remember Ondeck’s life jacket competitions).
We will host a second year of the career desk that will be available on both days of the event to welcome job seekers and offer support and feedback to those looking for work.
