Directorate of Gender Affairs Invites the Public to Free “Give to Gain” Health Fair
The Directorate of Gender Affairs (DoGA), in collaboration with the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS), invites the public to attend a FREE Health Fair as part of International Women’s Day Week 2026, under the theme “Give to Gain.”
The Health Fair will take place on Friday, 6 March 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Directorate of Gender Affairs located on Friendly Alley, St. John’s. The event is open to the public, and women and men are welcome.
To officially open the Health Fair, DoGA will host a brief Spotlight Series Plaque Presentation, recognizing four (4) young female philanthropists whose service and community contributions reflect the spirit of Give to Gain. Awardees will be presented and highlighted at the start of the day, and the public is encouraged to arrive early to support and celebrate these women.
Services and Screenings Available
Attendees will have access to the following screenings and services on-site:
- HIV/AIDS Testing
- HPV Vaccinations
- Cervical Cancer Registration
- Basic Eye Screening
- Blood Pressure checks
- Blood Sugar checks
- BMI checks
- Cholesterol checks
“The Health Fair brings essential services into the community and encourages everyone to take simple steps toward prevention and early detection,” said the Jamie Saunder Director, Directorate of Gender Affairs. “We also want to celebrate the women who give quietly and consistently because when women give, the whole nation gains.”
DoGA encourages individuals, families, and workplaces to come out, get screened, and share the information widely. Preventive checks take only minutes and can make a major difference.
