DeFreitas-led picket brings out students, teachers and parents demanding that children be educated

Tuesday morning, November 16, at the Ministry of Education headquarters, parents, teachers and students showed up to support the efforts of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Candidate for St. John’s City South, Franz deFreitas.

DeFreitas, with short preparation, mounted the picket to protest the current state of education. This includes the lack of electronic devices; poor Internet access for students being taught via the Google Classroom platform; the vaccination mandate; and even the failed E-book initiative.

On the picket line today, deFreitas spoke with our  Ava “Sassy” Charles-McKenzie, host of the “Good Morning Sass Show.”

He says the fight is for a proper education system in Antigua and Barbuda, since the present one  seems to be broken.

Children as young as 12, the age from which the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine can be administered, were disgruntled that they are being forced to get vaccinated.-REAL NEWS-

  1. The young lady in the All Saints Secondary School uniform, your jumper is too short – wayyyy above the knee – higher than the cost of living. Your principal permits you on the school compound in that short piece a uniform???

  2. They were already required to be vaccinated for a whole range of other diseases.. because disease is bad.. this is nothing new. If you are so against science why do you want your kids educated anyway? The only thing new here is that upp has lost my respect and my vote.

    • there is nothing wrong with been vaccinated . you do not force people to do it. let them make a choice or there parents. and do not come tell me that how every child has been vaccinated to go to school and bla bla bla ….. cause fa me own never been vaccinated for nothing and i can tell you she is much better off with out them.
