Defense Force Suspends Recruitment Until Further Notice

The Antigua & Barbuda Defence Force announced today that it has suspended recruitment.
No reason for the decision was given.
In a notice today the ABDF said “The General public is asked to note that Recruitment into the ABDF has been suspended until further notice.”
“All persons who have applied previously will be contacted when recruiting has resumed,” the notice said.
It thanked applicant for their understanding.
Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney said this week that the police suspended recruitment because of the coronavirus.

  1. But why give the new recruits a list of items to purchase that costs over $1000 in these times and then tell them that just because you are given a list of items to purchase for training means that you will start training.
    That does not make any sense!
    Suspend until further notice.
    Jah know I was about to get a lawyer and take this to court. People don’t do these things. And yes there’s a strong possibility that I will take this to the media. Since March you all gave the list and no one called to state that everything is suspended until Covid. Now in June you put out notice.
    Somebody should sue you all a$$.
    You all took in a few recruits of your mother sister aunty man but keep lying to the rest of the new recruits about no recruitment until further notice.
