Deep Water Harbour Port Expansion Strategizes Transshipment Hub Role

3

Port Manager Darwin Telemaque elaborated on the Port’s expansion at Deep Water Harbour, part of the government’s plan to turn it into a transshipment hub.

The focus has been on centralizing port services, moving activities inside the Warehouse and coordinating closely with the Comptroller’s office.

Telemaque’s team is working with bargaining agents to define roles at the terminal, distinct from the warehouse, aligning with global port practices.

The goal is a fully operational terminal with 24-hour service, crucial for accommodating increased demand as they transition into a transshipment hub.

They expect to double transshipment capacity for Tropical Shipping in May and have interest from other vessels for similar arrangements.

  1. What a load of BS. Ask Telemaque why Tropical was here until 2 am Tuesday. The lone Stacker broke down and they were idle for several hours. Crane works sporadically and the new one still coming. Yet he in the UK for 7 days collecting per diem. Gaston you really are dunce and this man making you look like a r@ss. Chet you and all look like a r@ss.
