Hello Kate,
I am slowly getting tired of my wife because she won’t stop using excessive make up. When I met her she always wore it but it wasn’t until I started living with her I realised the amount of time she spends doing it. It is like an obsession.
I understand women want to enhance their beauty especially on special occasions but this is affecting our marriage. Kate, I have no room on the dressing table. Her stuff is all over. When she was at work I went and checked and I realise she has 143 different cosmetics on the shelf.
Kate, I love my wife and I will love her even if she doesn’t put on the fake lashes or the thing on the cheeks or the lipstick that stains. I just want her to realise that she’s beautiful and she don’t need to spend three hours putting on her face to prove it. I know this may sound trivial but it is affecting me. My wife wouldn’t even go out of the house without make up. She wears it to the beach too and I don’t understand.

Take courage. Have a sit down with your wife. These things can really drive a man up the wall and I can see you’re either there or close. Women and make up go hand in hand. And as you rightfully said nothing is wrong in wearing make-up but when it becomes an obsession then perhaps it’s time to look deeper.
You need to find out if your wife has a low self-esteem. How does she see herself without make up? Does she feel ugly? I don’t see why a woman would need to spend three hours on her face. It is obviously deeper rooted than just what appears on the surface. Talk to her. Get to the understanding as to why she needs to be like that. If the problem is really one of self-esteem them she needs to seek further help.

Some of them cant be seen NOWADAYS without makeup which speaks volume of low self esteem … you cant enhance what you dnt have NATURALLY…
Many need classes on how to properly apply makeup..putting makeup on broken skin (pimples)makes it even worse…
Some look like they at Barnes & Straffies…
The shades are so badly off they look stupid but dnt tell dem cos ur JEALOUS….

You sound like a “HATER” or wish you knew how to apply makeup. Perhaps some eyelashes and a nice powder would serve your face well.
Yes sounds like a true hater. Nothing is wrong with make up its just like when y’all get old and start getting gray hairs y’all wanna obsessively die y’all hairs black to look younger. Point is he knew all this before he married her. Some of y’all dudes only get in to relationships for looks so deal with the ish
Kate not all women who wear makeup or obsess or more sor have self esteem issues some women just like the qay they look & feel after putting it on..men need to learn to let a lady have her thing just as they have their thing like watching sports for hours or drinking an hanging at a bar some are even into care an spend thousands of dollars an hours working on them..now when it comes to the dressing table why not build or buy her a vanity one that she can work an store her cosmetics on and givinng her this as a gift can open up the door for you speaking to her about the amount she wears..

You never know husband doing so might just open up the door for you speaking to her about the amount she wears.. learn to comprimise because am pretty sure there is some annoying habit you posess that she wishes you didnt do
lol i love make up as most modern women do. i have all of the necessary products from primers to finishing mists and i am pretty good with applying it and even with spots, blemishes & uneven skin tone that i am very conscious and aware of i couldn’t see myself wearing makeup every day! i know that even with my imperfections i am still a beautiful woman so yes i agree with kate here that there must be a deeper rooted issue. Maybe not as deep as low self esteem but there is definitely something bewildering about taking hours daily to do makeup and “wouldn’t even going out of the house without make up”. i understand factors like her job where she may want to wear makeup to daily, which i could understand a basic beat, and then on special occasions a full face beat but heavy makeup everyday even to the beach?!?!?!? TARL…..SUBBEN WRONG DEY!
