Dear Editor, my unruly neighbour sickens me

Dear Editor,

I’ve never written a letter to the editor in my 30 plus years on this earth. I am writing because of my unruly neighbour.

I live in a quiet neighborhood but on a regular basis, I hear something which disturbs me. And no, it’s not loud music.

It is a 21-year-old man who lives with his parents and is very rude. A week doesn’t go by that he doesn’t call his mother the worst names not found in the dictionary.

I know his age because his mother often brings it up when he is cussing her. I cannot tell you the reason for the arguments only that it’s very disturbing to me.

Based on my own upbringing I cannot comprehend how a man can abuse his mother verbally so badly.

This worst thing is there are at least three young girls and two other men in the house. I hardly hear the men condemning him.

And I often wonder why the mother keeps him in the house. I don’t know if this is the thing people write to the editor about.

If you’re supposed to be our brother’s keeper should I go over to find out how I can help? Or do I just stay out of the people’s business?
