Dean Jonas fired as Advisor to the Minister for the Blue Economy

21

Dean Jonas, appointed as Advisor to the Minister for the Blue Economy, had his appointment revoked by Prime Minister Gaston Browne on October 31, 2023.

The revocation was immediate due to Jonas repeatedly exceeding his authority in the Ministry, leading to numerous complaints.

This led to a unanimous cabinet decision to revoke his appointment.

Jonas, who previously lost in the general elections and was not given a ministry or appointed a senator, was among several poor-performing candidates criticized by Prime Minister Browne.

Browne emphasized the need to introduce fresh faces for the upcoming election as the party undergoes rejuvenation.

One day later, Jonas expressed his displeasure with Prime Minister Browne’s leadership in a social media post.

  1. 🫏de donkey kick back! Dean U feel dat? Now,👊🏽bax him wid wan thump, while Asot kick 👠with wan red pump.

  2. The tax payers will be the ones to pay Dean Jonas for the PM personal feelings and power play. This type of leadership is living up to the Donkey leadership style..

I am no fan of Dean Jonas but rational thinking is required to move the country forward not personal feelings.
Dean Jonas is an arrogant, horrible, person and should not have been in politics in the first place.

  3. Wow!!seems like Dean talk touch someone in power an authority………The leader of this country is so childish and low, behaving like a female acting upon his feelings………We need REAL MAN TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY, NOT WHIMPS LIKE U GASTON………….Dean go public and talk to the nation let us know what this guy is keeping from us plus his rest of the fool followers……..

  4. My take away from this is this son of the soil needs prayers as we celebrate 42 years as an independent nation.

    • “My take from this,” Sharon Lycorish is that you are living up to your namesake Lycorish as you won’t hesitate to even lick all the shit from gaston ass and keep it all to your self. You deserve it all…

  5. Was Dean Jonas given notice of termination? How many months or years were left on his contract and will Dean take action to get these moneys?

The donkey leader has once again put taxpayers in a position to bear more financial burdens when we are crying out already.

The labour party will have to be voted out of government at the next general elections once the donkey leader is still their leader.

The question now is: Will the true labourites continue to allow themselves to be led by a donkey leader?

  6. I actually find it healthy for there to be in fighting, challenges, especially knowing what I know and experience.

Why is there one man who says who will be part of the party?

Why are ministers telling citizens they cannot help them and cannot intervene into matters that has national importance and substantial merit?

  7. Gaston Browne: You did the correct thing. You fired hIs arse.He like many others would want to do nothing and get a paycheck. What Dean Jonas knows about the Blue Economy? Except to say, it is BLUE.Lol

  8. Dean Jonas, referred to you as a Donkey. I also referred to you as a Jack Arse. Are you going to fire me also. That could never happen. I have taken or got at personal gifts from any Politicians at home or abroad.I am not one of those sanitized turned coats on your Pig Pen of a Radio Station in Point.

  9. Can you hear Samantha Marshall: an insecure leader surrounds himself with yes men? Sad that Dean Jonas chose now to air some pent up feelings about the donkey leader, but we’ll take it. Any idiot knows this is just another display of the bad-minded, dutty, nasty, vindictive idiot that Gaston Browne is. Daily he disgraces our primary office, lying with impunity, in everybody’s business except his colossal failure as PM and minister of finance. Dean Jonas(and I’m no fan of his) lost to “someone like Serpent “, whatever that means, but you, DAWG, lost to someone like Shuggy, despite the millions you spent of alleged tax payers money. What does that say about you? The country is tired of your childish, lunatic tirades.

  10. Dean tek dat in your nennen! Ugly gets what ugly does. You are nothing but an opportunist, and the leadership of the ABLP do not like it’s true labourite members much less transplanted opposition figures. Let this be a warning to Lamin, Dwayne and others

  11. When was the last time government officials declare their assets. Enquiring minds would like to know.

30 million dollars? That amount is not even in the government’s treasury right now.

  12. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME,GASTON FIRED DEAN JONAS.HE SACKED HIM AS MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE STAFF OF THAT MINISTRY.THAT WAS VERY DEMEANING AND EMBARRASSING.THE HE CRAWLED BACK AND KISSED GASTON’S RING AND WENT BACK TO WORK IN ANOTHER MINISTRY.DEAN,SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO GROW A BACKBONE A PAIR AND STAND YOUR GROUND.THERE IS NO WONDER GASTON TREATS YOU LIKE DIRT,BY WALKING ALL OVER YOU.

  13. When you follow the sequence of events you notice that Dean was fired by the Cabinet after complaints from the staff in the ministry about his management style. The same style that got him removed from the ministry of Agriculture. And Brix you would remember my post advising Dean that you catch more flies with honey. Dean has a personality problem. He just cannot get along with others in the job. It is thereafter that Dean went on Facebook to lash out against Gaston. But this website first published Dean story and now the firing. Making it sound as if the Prime Minister fired Dean because of the post. Very clever spin of events ANR

  14. So Sidelines Browne: Could you tell us why was Dean fired. If it was not for his negative posts about the Donkey of a leader.

  15. “Dean Jonas, appointed as Advisor to the Minister for the Blue Economy, had his appointment revoked by Prime Minister Gaston Browne on October 31, 2023.
The revocation was immediate due to Jonas repeatedly exceeding his authority in the Ministry, leading to numerous complaints.
This led to a unanimous cabinet decision to revoke his appointment.”

Once again I point out to these sentences in the report. Yet every news media is reporting that Dean Jonas got fired because of what he said about the Prime Minister. And this happened because ANR chooses to first published the Dean Jonas story of the name calling of the PM and then the firing. So instead of reading and educating themselves even so-called media houses like Twin Islands Media are reporting it as a news event that Dean was fired because he made some egregious towards the Prime Minister. So the spinning has work and is working. Sad standard of journalism in this country.

  16. @From The Sideline – At some point we need to read between the lines. Do you think it is just a coincidence Dean got kickback from the “donkey leader”. ANR has the courage to print the story, with context and let intelligent people make up their own minds.

  17. As I said ANR first printed what Dean did after he got fired. And then the printed the story with the reason he got fired. it seems then that these people are not so intelligent to understand that one has nothing to do with the firing. But simply with Dean’s behavior once again. It happened when he was in the Ministry in Agriculture that the staff wrote to the Prime Minister asking him to intervene. They were ready to strike at Agriculture. Dean is very vindictive towards those that don’t follow his orders.

  18. So he consistently exceeded his authority and mistreated the staff and nothing happened and as soon as he opens his mouth against the top dog he’s history…coincidence? Really??
