DCP QUASHIE ATTENDS ACCP 40TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & CONFERENCE IN SURINAME

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda Monday, May 11, 2026

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Louisa Benjamin-Quashie is currently representing the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda at the 40th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP), being held in Paramaribo, Suriname from May 11–15, 2026.

This marks the first time DCP Quashie is attending the prestigious regional conference in her capacity as Deputy Commissioner of Police.

The official opening ceremony was held on Monday at the Royal Torarica Resort in Paramaribo and brought together Commissioners of Police and senior law enforcement officials from across the Caribbean region, along with government officials and heads of security agencies from Suriname.

The conference is being held under the theme: “ Organized Crime: Implications for Regional Development ” and will feature a series of plenary sessions, panel discussions, and strategic meetings focused on addressing transnational organized crime, firearms trafficking, cybercrime, intelligence-led policing, regional security cooperation, and the use of artificial intelligence in modern law enforcement.

The ACCP conference continues to serve as an important platform for strengthening regional partnerships, enhancing collaboration among Caribbean law enforcement agencies, and advancing collective strategies to combat emerging security threats affecting the region.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda remains committed to building strong regional and international partnerships aimed at improving public safety, enhancing operational effectiveness, and promoting professional policing standards throughout the Caribbean.
