Part 1: The fight for his life.
Andre continues to fight on day after the very serious vehicle impact. At one point he stopped breathing and the medical staff resuscitated him after 6 minutes.
On Wednesday he did a tracheotomy to assist with his breathing.
It’s a miracle that he made it to this point. We believe that prayer works.
Part 2: We want Andre to be fully recovered.
This means getting back our Andre healthy (talking and walking with his memories and personality in tack).
This is Andre’s biggest battle now. I know that this may be difficult for some of you to read but the path to recovery is much more challenging than initially anticipated.
The results from the brain scans today are a cause of major concern.
He sustained a serious injury to his brain.
We are in the process of working out the logistics to fly Andre out on an air ambulance at the earliest possible time.
Treatment for brain injury incur some of the highest medical costs. Some facilities require a $500,000 USD deposit.
Our family is planning a day of prayer and fasting Saturday (21 May) and we invite you to participate.

Tell me how exactly is me fasting going to help this dude get well? He’s a national cyclist so the Goverment should spend Our money to sort him out because that’s what he needs, not fasting.
If you, Bushman, fast it won’t help because God only responds to prayers made in faith anyway.
I’m not fasting today, but am still praying for Andre, his family and all others in that position at the hospital today. I pray that he recovers but God’s will be done.
Just to clarify prayer + fasting is powerful according to Jesus the Christ. I am not fasting today for personal reasons, but I’m still praying with faith. But, if you don’t believe in prayer then your prayer won’t matter whether or not you fast.
Praying for this young man as I pray for my own son who is in same position.
