A magistrate has dismissed a charge of dangerous driving causing death against a woman accused in a fatal traffic collision, citing a lack of evidence from prosecutors.
Magistrate Andrew Mighty ruled that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against the accused, Dayneri Ferrer Vincent-Urlwyn.
The charge stemmed from a collision on Sir Sydney Walling Highway on 4 September 2023, in which police officer Robert Benjamin Dyer Jr was killed. Dyer, who was riding a motorcycle, died from multiple injuries.
During the hearing, evidence presented to the court suggested the officer had been travelling at high speed at the time of the crash and that the motorcycle was not licensed.
The magistrate also highlighted gaps in the prosecution’s case, including the absence of court-ordered documents such as toxicology reports and other key evidence.
He concluded that the shortcomings meant the accused had no case to answer, bringing the proceedings to an end.
The case had attracted public attention because it involved the death of a serving police officer.

Can you imagine after losing your life as a police officer you are hearing the police motorcycle was not license?
What a government, think this could happen in the USVI or Barbados where governance matter to people who are civic minded?
The entire world knew no probable cause existed and the woman was just arrested, charged, suffered severe emotional distressed, detained/imprisoned, and spent unreasonable/unnecessary amount of money for charges in which no reasonable person/police/prosecutor could have brought.
This is why I called them incompetent, ignorant and dunces because they ruined the life of innocent people and they feel nothing. The ABLP AG, COP and Prosecutor does nothing to support justice. I expressed to them to please drop the charges as they lack any kind of probable cause.
I do not trust none of these people with my life or the life of others. The Law should guide you with the wisdom of God and it seems none of them care about how much sufferinb their failures are constantly causing.
When I see things like this I can’t sleep or eat and I have to stand up while they continue as if God’s children are not unjustly persecuted (not prosecuted as no evidence existed at all for such).
Lord help us. Why can’t they have a heart? Why can’t they feel the pain of others? You can’t just charge people because you dislike them and constantly having a judge dismiss the case, when it is clear you have 0 evidence.

This is my problem with Pompey. He select on which police case to play bush lawyer. I fully respect Mr. Pompey but why he keep selecting where he want to see justice. There is a massive corruption case in the police Force where it is alleged a most High Ranking Police officer is involved in that massive corruption vehicle gate scandal and up to now, Pompey never say a word.
