National cyclist Jomari King has been released from hospital and is recovering from injuries sustained in a recent hit-and-run incident.

Doctors at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre found no broken bones or serious internal injuries after conducting scans. King suffered only cuts and bruises.

His father, Omari King, said the family is relieved but noted the young cyclist remains in significant pain and had to be wheeled out of the hospital.

Eyewitnesses who recorded the vehicle’s licence plate have assisted police with the investigation.

King, whose resilience has been widely praised, is determined to return to competitive cycling once fully recovered.

  1. I am not saying the motorist is right, but Them cyclists need to learn they are not vehicles. They want to be ride side by side and sometimes even in the middle of the road. There should also be some form of punishment for them

  2. This reminded me of Andre Simon. And we give God all the glory that he did not meet his demise. What the devil plans for bad god will turn ut into good. Happy uou are alive and well.
