  1. “As a licensed financial institution, the Bank must fulfil ALL regulatory requirements”.

Is the bank saying to the public that the account holder has not loved up to ‘all regulatory requirements’?

  2. So that means the DEPOSITORS WILL GET ALL THEIR MONEY. And CLOSE the accounts one time, since “the Bank must fulfil ALL regulatory requirements”.

DONT GIVE ME NO PROBLEM, TO GIVE ME MY MONEY. WHEN YOU GOT IT, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM.

  3. De Party start. De Party DUN! UPP GO TEK OVA!!

We going to the polls with information in we head. Information in we head.

Labour Dead! Gaston Dun, Chet sitting back. Waiting to take over..

  4. They have built nothing, created nothing! When you elect such leaders, do not be shocked when they cannot build or maintain roads, hospitals, schools and provide drinking water to the population! These leaders do not seek public office to improve people’s lives; they seek office to enrich themselves, their families, and their friends. It’s the never-ending story of the developing world, stuck with underperforming leaders! The sad state of Antigua! Better days may be behind you if you do not choose wisely on January 18! Power corrupts; vote for them out!

  5. It was the same thing you said, that global bank did not have a problem in paying back the gentleman. Yet it took a court order and it ran for over a year in the courts. Have that gentleman received his money back as yet.
Now to Asot case . I don’t believe that you are truthful. I believe Asot caught you my surprise snd you had difficulty delivering. It was on Monday this week a friend of mine called me and asked if I had money in CUB . She went on to state that CUB and Global Bank are one and the same. They are operated by the same people. So is it that CUB was used to settle the first guy , that is causing them problems? Yo

  7. I had to laugh when reading the press release from CUB. The last thing they are committed to is serving the public.
Over a month ago I sent an email to CUB with a very simple question requiring a “yes” or “no” answer. To be transparent, I am not an account holder. Today I finally received a request to “send a secure message” which is impossible as I have no dealing/accounts with the bank. (It appears to me that automation over personal involvement rules the roost at CUB)
My request is even more worrisome now that there are stories circulating – warranted or not – as to the solvency of CUB.
I submit this letter as a warning to CUB account holders that when you smell gas, there is usually someone close by who has eaten beans.

  8. I remember distinctly when Bank of Antigua had a run on the bank. A week before it happened I went to the bank and met with management regarding the bank’s solvency. All is well they said we are completely solvent. a week later I was in a line for 3 hrs to get my money. If anyone expects CUB to say that they are having difficulty think again. They will paint a rosy picture, obviously. WHERE THERE IS SMOKE THERE IS FIRE.

  9. @Frankly Speaking
Yes Global bank and CUB are/were somehow related. Found that out when i was looking for a job back in the early 2000s. They also had a sister company that specialized in IT services. I think the name was EC Tech.
