The committal hearing for 26-year-old Alexta Francis, accused of murdering former St. Peter MP Asot Michael, has been postponed.
Acting Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason set a new date after the prosecution requested an adjournment, stating the case file was still under review.
Francis’ attorney, Leon Symister, criticized the delay, calling it “the fastest arrest in history” but a slow case preparation.
Michael, 54, was found stabbed to death in his Dry Hill home on November 5, and Francis was arrested and charged three days later. He is now set to return to court on May 29.

May TRUTH and JUSTICE prevail
Ensuring a fair trial is crucial, and if more time is needed to gather evidence or prepare the case properly, then the postponement is understandable. That being said, repeated delays can sometimes erode public confidence in the justice system. The authorities should work efficiently to bring this case to trial without unnecessary hold-ups.
Delays like these can be frustrating for the victim’s family and the public, who are seeking closure. Hopefully, the court moves swiftly to avoid unnecessary setbacks.
I recently tried cannabis dispensary , and I’m in actuality impressed with the quality. The effects were slick, calming, and faithfully what I was hoping for. The contrast of options also allowed me to detect something skilful an eye to both relaxing evenings and rich days. Once second for anyone seeking great results!
Who would benefit the most from asot untimely death?

When we die all, all, our political secrets die with us unless we record our secrets on a hard drive.😆

There’s more in the mortar than the bullpistle.
I said it before, with all the security cameras I believe Asot have on his property along with alarms and this guy still find away to evade all that something no right. Then we are now for the first time hearing of the maid, murder weapon and missing tooth, along with the blood. With that much blood this guy should have blood on his shoe and clothing and since he had to get out quickly, didn’t have time to dispose of, so was these items found? And how stupid can you be to leave the murder weapon stuck in the body unless you had gloves, but as they say if the gloves don’t fit you just what?
This case is going no where because of the background of the deceased, so they will continue to postpone and postpone because of the amount of shit that will be reveal.
Chaku this is your moment to dig deep into the ABLP and their connections to the gangs of Antigua or you’re scared that UPP’s backsides will be exposed too?
This would’ve been an interesting battle if Wendell Alexander was the defence attorney. No disrespect Chaku, but Wendell Alexander got the RPFAB and the DPP’s Department under the microscope, especially with his last victory in the case involving the Punch and Stab incident outside of Pita Pocket where the alleged murderer walked FREE!
