Former Chairman of the National Festivals Committee, Cliff Williams has won his right to appeal the case against former bodybuilder turned social activist, Mary John, who had previously been awarded damages in her prior claim.
Williams filed his appeal on the grounds of Defamation, Libel – Effect of a failure to file witness statements and Discretion of trial judge to limit cross-examination.
It was contended that the award of $140,000 to John by way of general and aggravated damages was manifestly excessive.
The justices overseeing the cases ruled that the decision of Justice Rosalyn Wilkinson be set aside in its entirety and the claim be retried by a different judge of the High Court.

I hope the judgement is fully overturned in Cliff’s favor. The so-called social media activist loves to provoke people online and then delete her comments. She needs to be fined for wasting the court’s time and the judge should be reprimanded for the idiotic judgment. Why would they have sided with her when she is a well-known trouble maker I wonder. This should never have gone any further than the first court date. It should have been thrown out forthwith.

I am one of many who find that this lady places her nose and mouth in places where it certainly does not belong.
As a matter of a fact it appears as if she is seeking clout and at times may have mental health issues. There are things and names that should be private that she places in the public domain that angers many and damages their character.
Honestly although she may have had good intentions in some cases these days she is showing herself up to have other evil intentions.
