A coroner’s investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of Lateefa George’s death while she was a patient at Clarevue Hospital.
The 27-year-old woman was found unresponsive at the facility on October 31 and transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre by Emergency Medical Services. The exact timing of her passing is unclear.
Ministry of Health officials learned of the incident through social media and have requested a comprehensive report from Clarevue Hospital’s senior medical and management teams.
