Cops at the center of rape probe back on the job

1

The two police officers detained amid allegations of rape are back on the job after being released from holding.

The two constables were detained last month after a woman accused them of raping her at gun point.

But lawmen tell Antigua News Room (ANR) that the duo were released pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.

And since they have not been suspended they are in active duty.

The 19-year-old alleged that the men forced her to perform oral and anal sex in a car near Five Islands.

She also alleged that the lawmen threatened to kill her after assaulting her with a weapon.

The allegations led to a fire storm of criticism for the force because it came only days after two other police officers were charged with kidnapping and other serious offences.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda promised to investigate both matters thoroughly and not to sweep it under the carpet.

Its been one month since the allegations surfaced and although one media house reported “it was only a matter of time” the two police officers have not been charged.

  1. Not one thing is gonna come out of this because Antigua is a nasty corrupted place and police get away with murder. Only few cases that come out in public get any sort of heat from the media and it dies down after. Bullshit!!!!
