Many congratulations to our Antiguan Medical students who graduated from the Universidad de Ciencias Médicas, Facultad 1 Santiago de Cuba, earlier today.
To continue and to excel in your medical studies during the global COVID-19 pandemic is commendable, we are proud of you! The Highest commendations are expressed to each of you. Dr. Aminata Joseph, MD, Dr. Brian Byers, MD, Dr. Sachi Pipe, MD, Dr. Laurica Stevens, MD, Dr. Rene Duchtailler, MD and Dr. Kheela Saunders, MD. All six graduates were recipients of the Prime Minister Scholarship awards. This administration will continue to significantly invest in our nation’s greatest resource-its people.

  2. Congratulations 👍 to one and all . Thanks to our late Comrade Rt Hon Dr Sir Lenard Tim Hector the man who have made it possible. The problem that I am having is that know one look at page one of what the Commandante have put in place when students started to go to Cuba to study. As I see it the model was for us to look at our human resource and focus on our way the idea was to specialise our country going forward I am hoping that in the future we will make it happen

    • Three cheers and amen to that. I remember when ignorant bird people were disparaging Tim Hector and our Antiguan students in Cuba all over the country.

  5. Great job guys….. You really made yr parents, your friends, your families and your nation proud…. Let’s hope the Gov’t reciprocates accordingly…. A big thumbs up for that PM scholarship…. If it was not for such a scholarship, poor people picknee would not accomplish such great feat!!! Congratulations to you and your parents & guardians who made the sacrifices to give all the support they could

  6. The Honorable Baldwin Spencer introduced the Prime Minister Scholarship. ALP was never a party that supported anyone who went to study in Cuba. Gaston Browne was given a golden platter to continue on .

    • That is what great leadership is all about.. PM Browne saw the value & wisdom to continue the scholarship program rather than abandoning it. In fact he increased the number of scholarship so alot more individuals & families became empowered…… Under the Gaston Browne administration, LEADERSHIP MATTERS. Anyone can create a blueprint but it takes one with vision etc to finish…. Don’t 4 get the community Center at Knuckle was the blueprint of the Hon Baldwin Spencer, 10 years later nothing was done. It took the indomitable Gaston Browne to complete within his first term in office
