Congratulations to all the nominees up for recognition at the National Sports Awards

St. John’s Antigua- Four (4) outstanding athletes have been nominated for consideration for the coveted title of Sportsman and Sportswoman for 2023 by the Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation.

The nominees are Ellie Shaw for Jr. Sports woman and Bianca Mitchell for Sr. Sportswoman, Ethan Stubbs -Green for Jr. Sportman and Jadon Wuilliez for Sr. Sportsman.

These athletes have represented Antigua and Barbuda on the regional and international stages and hold several national and age-group records.

Edith Clashing, the current President of the Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation, has been nominated as Administrator of the Year for 2023.

Clashing is renowned locally for her initiative in organizing various swim meets throughout the year and for spearheading strategic planning and fundraisers.

On the regional and international fronts, she has officiated in several capacities, including serving as a member of the World Aquatics and PanAm Aquatics Masters Technical Committees.

Nelson Molina, the Head Coach of the Wadadli Aquatic Racers Swim Club (WAR), has also been nominated as Coach for the year.

Molina has produced a number of top age-group athletes, including Ellie Shaw, Aunjelique Liddie, and Tivon Benjamin.

The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation salutes all the nominees for their outstanding contributions to sports, and congratulates all nominees from the various sporting disciplines who are set to be recognized at the National Sports Awards scheduled for Saturday, 16^th March 2024.
