Confident of Victory: PM says ABLP has delivered for Antigua and Barbuda

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has been outlining the successes of his administration over the last seven years.

He was asked about the chances of this administration in light of the COVID pandemic  and an opposition victory in St. Lucia.

Browne says he can bank on the performance of his government.

  2. This guy is obviously a mental case. What in Gods name has ABLP done in the last 7 years? Is this some kind of reverse psychology? Other than enriching himself and his family and getting on Pointless FM to spit lies and nonsense, there is nothing. Just nothing at all. Can someone come up with something?

    • The one that tops my list of things that he’s done was to allow Antigua and Barbuda to loose free visa-less travel to Canada.

      HE rehabilitate 2 roads, but forgot to put in the lights, we still have water problems, most roads still ain’t touch (though he made sure to BUILD the road from his personal residence, Tell our people that they are dunce elements and they are inbreeds, insult people, made himself a constant laughing stock in the region….

      But I’m sure there are one or two things he did correctly during his tenure

    • The question shouldn’t be if the ALBP win the next election. Can the UPP win nine seat’s and for all those UPPITES which ones you can win? No need to loose whatever sanity you have left. Focus on your Party. Compare and contrast both in governance and the ABLP is far superior than the UPP. The UPP was the worse government in Wadadli history.

    • Antiguans and Barbudans. Look in the mirror and ask yourselves. Am I, my family better off today than I or we were 7 years ago?

      Is the Country of Antigua and Barbuda enriched by the leadership of Gaston Brown and his Cabinet of Deplorables?

      Are you satisfied with the delivery of essential services such as safe potable water, electricity and policing in your community?

      Are you trusting of the Government and it’s operatives acting on the behalf of the best interest of the twin island state?

      Are you in agreement when corrupt actors are exposed and are not held criminally liable for there actions?

      These are just some of the pie that need to digested. There’s plenty more. Share Inc! Comes to mind. Land flip up east. Callalo Cay debacle. Best Western. Cost overruns at the port development. Or should I say Sir Gaston Browne Deep Water Harbor!

      Don’t let him throw million and billion dollar investments in your face. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Numbers can be manipulated to fit your narrative.

      ABLP must go. Send the leader into private life. He profess that he’s a great business man. Let him stick to that.

WATCHING while I agree with you almost totally, I will only add that the tangible thing that the ALP Administration has brought to Antigua and Barbuda in the last 7 years (if I am to be completely honest and objective) is the Five Islands Campus of the UWI. Apart from that there is nothing else but the personal self-enrichment particularly of the Prime Minister and his family.

The ABLP has truly delivered vaccines that was donated, everything else is corruption to the highest, I undersstand some of you are paid to post great things about them but be honest with yourself.   19. This guy is a nut job. Tell him ask the thousands that are unemployed if they feel the same way about what he’s saying. Tell him ask the Liat staff if they are happy with what is going on in Antigua today. What about all the people who have to sell their homes for being unable to pay the bank. He is so out of touch with the reality that we are dealing with. So many businesses closing down and the rest of us can hardly keep our heads above water. This is just another insult to our intellect.

  23. Mr. Tabor, explain how the UWI Five Island campus benefits Antigua? So they took a structure built during the UPP tenure and made it into a university? Can our children attend at minimal cost? Does our country benefit in any way financially? Help me here.

    • WATCHING the point I was trying to underscore is that despite the long list of accomplishments listed by Gaston by his government, the only accomplishment I would give them is the UWI campus at Five Islands. Yes, I am one who support the position that the location of the UWI in Five Islands is wrong and the Secondary School should not have been used. Ideally, the UWI should have been located at the old naval base (with more space for expansion etc) making that whole area with the AUA, ABIT and the Hotel School like a university town. Now with respect to the benefits, this would come in many ways including easier access to our students to tertiary education (two surprising current examples I understand are Colin O’Neal and Lamming Newton). While I will admit that the UWI at Five Islands will not be engaging in serious earth shattering research, just being present here should add to the intellectual environment of the country.
