Community Workshop on the Proposed Boggy Peak National Park

3

The Department of Environment is inviting community members of the St. Mary’s Parish to a workshop at the SR Olivia David (Bolans Primary) School from 5 pm – 7 pm on Wednesday, 15th May 2019 to discuss the proposal to establish Boggy Peak and the surrounding areas as a nationally protected area.

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in decision making and provide feedback in the creation of a community-wide vision for the area. There will also be a focus on ensuring transparency of the entire process to protect the Boggy Peak area, as well as discussion on how to continue to build sense of pride and ownership for the area by local community members, and the wider Antiguan and Barbudan community. Light refreshments will be provided.

For more information about this meeting, or to register your interest in attending, please contact Ms. Hali Chesher, Technical Officer, at [email protected] or call the Department of Environment at 462-4625.

    • You know how your party badminded and spiteful as with the Five Island School. They remind me of Trump, trying to undo whatever Obama did so it would not surprise me if they are once again undoing what UPP did.
      No political maturity.
