Community Development Division Raises $2373 to Support 7-Year-Old Burn Victim’s Treatment

The Community Development and Citizens’ Engagemant Division, today handed over a cheque valued at EC Two Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy Three Dollars ($2373.00) to the family of 7 year old burn victim T’rique Jeffrey of Swetes Village.

The funds were raised at a Barbecue held by the Division on Friday 7th July.

Present to hand over the funds to the family were Colin O’Keiff Permanent Secretary within the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment, Ms. Dale O’Brien Director of Community Development and Citizens’ Engagement Division and staff of the South Zone Team within the department.

Jeffery suffered serious burns to 52 percent of his body in an accident at his home in May this year and was medically airlifted to the Dominican Republic where he continues to receive treatment through the financial assistance of the Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF).
