Yesterday August 13th, alleged passport forger and suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ray John along with his co-accused: his mother Yvonne Nickie and his partner Shakeema Charles, appeared before Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh.
Their committal hearing was once again adjourned and has been adjourned no less than five times to this date.
Their case was adjourned until September 25th to allow the defense to respond to a submission from the prosecution which they said was only received last Thursday.

Whatever became of Wendel Roberson. How much longer must he be on paid suspension?? What about his case in the High Court???
Mr Robinson is still young more than one year on paid suspension has expired.
There can only be one Police Commissioner. For the time being it is still Robinson.
So no other can be confirmed in that position. Mr Robinson must stay beneath the radar collect his salary until he reaches retirement.

By bringing more charges today or recently but not being ready on the 4 previous times is evidence of bad-faith and misuse of legal proceedings. You can bring another charge but you are not ready for the prior?
I am assuming the previous adjournment was at the request of the prosecution. Does Motion to dismissal for speedy trial violation exist in Antigua? If not, why on earth would I want the final court of appeals to be located regionally. To me, if you have enough to charge, you have enough to proceed with trial. If you can not proceed with trial within a month of charging a suspect, you are not to charge YET.
I live by that rule, it applies to about 99% of situations.
