Commissioner Constance Blackman’s tenure ends
St. John’s Antigua: Monday 22nd January 2024 – The tenure of the Antigua Christian Council’s and the United Evangelical Association of Antigua and Barbuda’s representative on the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission’s (ABEC’s) has ended.
Ms. Constance Blackman bade farewell to the Commission on January 11th 2024 after serving the electoral management body for three years, following her appointment in September 2020.
During her time as a member of the Commission, Ms. Blackman executed her duties in a fair and transparent manner and was also afforded the opportunity to represent the body in many occasions both regionally and internationally.
Ms Blackman expressed thanks to her immediate colleagues and the entire staff at the Commission, who contributed to a meaningful learning experience that has certainly enhanced her overall knowledge of the country’s democratic and electoral process.
She is a former public servant who dedicated over forty years to the development of Antigua and Barbuda. She also served as Director at the country’s tourism office in Toronto, Canada and Head of the Consulate General in Toronto, Ontario.
