COMMENTARY: The Ecuminicals Are In Bed With The ABLP

The primary evidence is the fact that they pray over Cabinet Meetings each week, and seem to find nothing wrong with the corruption inequity passengers here on an annual basis.

“THE ECUMINICALS ARE IN BED WITH THE ABLP.” The primary evidence is the fact that they pray over Cabinet Meetings each week, and seem to find nothing wrong with the corruption inequity  and poverty in Antigua and Barbuda.

Cabinet Meeting briefing no longer provides the name of the religious minister who prays over Cabinet to bless their proceeding.  This macabre was pointed out, so the no longer name minister / Priest/ Bishop. That detail is now  left out of Cabinet meeting briefings.

Soon the fact that Cabinet Meeting are being blessed by a Minister of religion will no longer be mentioned as part of the Cabinet meeting briefings. For once that dance of death was pointed out as Mr. Hurst would say “we know the names, we don’t want to blame and shame”

. Here is the readout from the most recent Cabinet Meeting.

In Parliamentary Democratic Countries, it is the Ecumenical who are the leaders of Civil Society.   They can be a force for good or a force for evil.  In Antigua and Barbuda “THE ECUMINICALS ARE IN BED WITH THE ABLP.”

Rather than carrying out their role as leaders of Civil Society; they get with the ABLP to characterize criticism as ”partician mischief makers and an attempt to create discord”. This diabolical behaviour by men/women of God speaks to how far lowdown we as a country have fallen.

I say diabolical for its like the Country is being gang rapped, and the Ecumenical are in the viewing gallery cheering the perpetrators on.

Antigua and Barbuda Parliamentary democracy is modelled after that of the UK. The primary role of the Crown’s so called “Duties” and visiting supporting roles are to support Civil Society. When Charles left church on Sunday after being released from the hospital the first person to greet him as he walked outside was Rev. Canon Paul Williams. It was a powerful symbol of the role the Church plays in the British society.

Billy Graham prayed with Nixon after he said famously “I am not a crook”. It was the U.S Civil Society that forced Nixon to resign.  The U.S. is being torn apart with Donald Trump is being supported by groups led by The Evangelistic Christians.  That is what happens when an institution that should serve as the moral compass of a society loses its way due to its own selfish needs.

Large Countries can turn the tide and make a comeback. Tiny Countries like Antigua and Barbuda will become like Pakistan and other ASEAN countries where the average wage is less than USD $200 per month.

It is mind boggling that the very individuals who preach about faith and morality are the perpetrators and enablers of our society’s evil.

  1. Before you write this long, long crap learn to spell or at least do a spell check. The word is ecumenical meaning representing a number of Christian churches.

  2. Absolutely correct!

During the Covid-19 mandates, they followed the government’s line – without question!

Furthermore, looking back at the history of the church hasn’t been a favourable one. You only have to look back at their quiet stance during some of the atrocities that took place during slavery. Yep, silence.

The two World Wars, and now the recent atrocities taking place on babies, children, the elderly and disabled in the Middle East. More silence.

I would have thought the church least they could have asked for was some sort of an evacuation programme for these vulnerable and desperate groups.

Again, the pillars of society have let us down. Mercy!

  3. @Truth Seeker,
The content of the article really seems to bother you.
Direct your complaint to the Editor that’s role of the editor.
With regards to Ecumenical the article states:
The opinion article says: macabre was pointed out, so that no longer name minister / Priest/ Bishop.
It didn’t say taxi driver and fishermen; it named some of whom makes up Ecumincal. You don’t need to go to your search engine. Address the merits of the article.
Seems your Dialexia has been doing a job on you, where you can’t believe the truth.

  4. It’s time to tax the church! The world’s oldest FOR PROFIT business.
It’s not just the ABLP that’s in bed with the ecumenicals. All political parties are, since. the Church established the State. The State is the Child of the Church.
The church(parent) created politicians, as their overlords who became #Serial_Gangsters over time.

  5. Definitely seems like we are living in the “end times” as people are making up all sorts of bizarre reasons to hate on the “church”. Unfortunately, many of our men in this country have not attended church or read the Good Book or listened to a sermon in many years and fall prey to a lot of these wild anti-church ideas. It’s not good to spread hate because of a lack of understanding. I am not a theologian, but my understanding is that the purpose of the church is simply to pass on the teachings of Jesus, and also to serve as a gathering of like-minded people who want to live in accordance with Jesus’ teachings. Nothing in Christian teaching says that praying for people means an endorsement of everything that someone does. The Bible instructs Christians to pray for those in authority. So, that’s what pastors do. At least with prayer, perhaps God will work things out for our collective good, no matter what the authority figures have in mind to do.
