Cocaine worth $1m washes up on Florida beach after Hurricane Debby

More than $1m (£782k) of cocaine has washed up on a beach in Florida Keys during the recent Storm Debby.

US Border Patrol said a “good Samaritan” found the packages containing 32 kg (79 lbs) of the drug and contacted authorities.

Border Patrol has not revealed the exact location of the package but shared photos of the taped-up packages, featuring a red triangle on the label.

The person who found the package – a beachgoer – discovered it wrapped inside a bin bag among seaweed, leaves and other debris.

Storm Debby made landfall in the US as a Category 1 hurricane on Monday morning, with winds topping 80 miles per hour.

It has since been downgraded to a tropical storm – and looks set to bring rain and flooding as it makes its way north to Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Drugs frequently wash up on southern Florida beaches and surrounding waters as smugglers traffic the substances from South America to the US.

  1. It’s time time they stop this hyped aggrandizement of drug by giving it lucrative dollar value and instead estimate the amount of families it could affect by the quantity, causing prison to be filled and school drop out etc. state it’s destructiveness or else it sound as though the authority see lucrative opulence in it. And misleading others to attain that life style.

    • Good point. They should state “….kg enough to destroy … lives”. I hope someday people in South America will stop trying to make a living by addicting people in North America and also stop destroying their own counties with crime and violence by cartels causing so many to flee and migrate North.
South America is so beautiful with so many natural resources. There is no reason why they shouldn’t be able to take care of themselves and enjoy life peacefully without this illicit trade.

  2. @Totally agree…please be informed, by such information presented in TRUE DOCUSERIES, as The Mena Connection. It’s free on YouTube.

Not even slick Willy Clinton can deny these facts.

Other [facts] which you must apprise yourself of…

1…no one is making North Americans “addicts” nor “junkies.” The culture of greed from big businesses have done just that, and is still doing it.

2…the destabilisation of South American Nations by the U.S.A. Military Industrial Complex (billion dollar corporations and the CIA) plays more of a role in creating the American “addicts” and “junkies,” than those People in South America who were made refugees in their own Nations.

3…the ongoing DRUG CRISIS in North America, now called The Opioid Epidemic is directly related to the Medical Industry and Big Pharma, who knowingly distribute addictive DRUGS to people through their network of henchfolks such as doctors and medical facilities. #Oxycodone anyone?

If it’s one thing which is absolutely pellucid, it is the fact, that ANERICANS have a #SCAPEGOAT for all of their fuck_ups!
