  1. This extremely tragic. Are there guard rails in place? If not consideration should be given to erecting guard rails as they will help to keep visitors and our people safe.

    • It doesn’t take a blind man to see that safety is always first….. So with that said when the waters some what safer the leaders should get the safety rails installed and maintenance regular because of the salted area it is in…. It’s about time it’s the lilvthi ga that make a big difference….

  2. As a former taxi driver I would admonish my clients whenever I took them to both Devil’s Bridge and Shirley Heights to not go close to the perimeter.
I would actually accompany them to make sure that they kept to safe standards.
If I saw visitors who were on their own I would also tell them not to venture beyond certain points as the rocks are slippery when wet at Devil’s Bridge and all it would take at Shirley Heights is a stumble and down you WILL go.
We all have to be our brother and sister’s keepers and to help to safeguard our national product.
Guard rails and posted signs are also necessary deterants to safeguard these spaces.

  3. Can someone please tell me which world this lady Lycorish lives in. I am amazed by the comments she shares regarding issues. What guard rails you expect to be in place ahead of commonsense being in place first?

  4. I must agree with dot. It’s tragic but there must be some kind of personal responsibility and use of common sense

  5. This is a tragic loss and condolences to the family is in order. My suggestion is that warning signs be erected telling visitors not to go beyond a certain point because of the danger.
