Coast Guard rescues 30 people after engine problems on Barbuda Express

The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard said it rescued 30 passengers earlier today.

Barbuda Express reportedly encountered difficulties while voyaging from Antigua to Barbuda.

 

The rescue took place about seven miles off Barbuda.

 

According to reports, the Coast Guard has assured all passengers and crew on the stricken vessel are safe.

 

The Barbuda Council said “Thankfully Barbudans are back home safely after a harrowing day stranded out at sea on the ferry.”

  1. Anyone who has travelled on the Barbuda Express will not be surprised about this latest mishap. All the owners keep doing is patch-up, patch-up, and patch-up again.

    They have made enough money over the years to be able to purchase a new vessel by now.
